Biography
Well... I was born in Braga, Portugal, a long time ago (it was in 1980) where I lived and studied for all my life. I attended school at Escola Secundária de Sá de Miranda and afterwards I went to Universidade do Minho (ok... so it was in Guimarães) to study Electronics Engineering. I finished my degree in 2003 and my Masters degree in 2009. I have also achieved the Cambridge University CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English). Besides that, I have also achieved some technical specializations:
I got married in 2007. Two lovely daughters. :-) Back a long time ago, when I was a little boy, I wanted to be a Formula 1 driver. My hero was (and still is) the great Ayrton Senna. Now, as you may have understood, music is my passion! I am guitarist and lead singer of The Crew. I am also the guest guitarist of Demon Dagger. As a teenager, I also sang and played in a few choirs and groups, having participated in several festivals and contests. I have interpreted some classical pieces, such as Beethoven's 9th Symphony, Mozart's "Ave Verum Corpus" and a few others from Verdi, Bach, Händel, etc. Musically, my main influences range from Queen to Dream Theater, passing through Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Gonçalo Pereira, Paul Gilbert, Megadeth, Metallica, Faith No More, Pink Floyd, Genesis, Camel, Gentle Giant, Rage Against The Machine, Nirvana, Silverchair, Red Hot Chili Peppers... and an infinite list that keeps changing so fast that it's impossible to keep updated in this website! :-D Through music I can express myself and feel free. I like every genre, but I'm particularly fond of Rock music, specially Heavy/Speed Metal and Prog-Rock. In addition to all this, I do a little bit of web design. I currently manage and do all webdesign of my own site and my The Crew's website. I am also very fond of motorsports (specially Formula 1), photography and video. To sum up my whole life: "Live each day as if it was your first!" |
